Microsoft Surface  Surface Pro 11 Surface Pro 12″ Surface Duo 2 Type Cover

2020–Present | Mechanical Design Engineer

Owned batteries, antennas, haptics, FPC/PCB, soft goods & enclosure modules from concept to PVT; shipped 1M+ units. Built and validated stack‑ups (GR&R/CPK across key dims) to hit cosmetic/functional gaps. Led DFM/DFA and failure analysis with Asia CMs/JDMs.

LightCube Website Paper

2023 | Principal Investigator

Led a 30‑person, NASA‑sponsored CubeSat from concept to flight; launched to LEO on SpaceX CRS-27.

Modeled the spacecraft in SolidWorks and designed multilayer PCBs (OBC, solar arrays, HV xenon flash payload). First satellite the public could command to flash visibly from Earth.

Space Lasers for Optical Comms  Paper

2020 | Co-author

Performed thermal/power/orbital analyses in MATLAB/STK and authored CONOPS for “Q4,” a four‑CubeSat swarm demonstrating omni‑directional Gbps laser cross‑links using JPL’s ISOC terminal.

Phoenix CubeSat  Website Paper TEDx Talk

2019 | Lead Mechanical & Systems Engineer

Architected an LV‑compliant primary structure and led satellite assembly/integration; ran structural & modal FEA (ANSYS). Executed vibration & TVAC campaigns; closed findings with design updates. Launched to LEO aboard Cygnus NG‑12.

Growable Robotics  Paper

2018 | Co-author

Co‑designed a bio‑hybrid rover whose cellulose body can grow, self‑heal, and fold into shape; demonstrated at IEEE IFETC 2018 as the first “growable” robotics proof‑of‑concept.
